“ Food portions were good. Bit order side of toast will cost you. $4 for a slice. Service wise. Food came out and forgot that $4 toast and drink i had asked for. Got the drink about 4 minutes later and that toast. Finally got as ending meal. Now wait staff is very friendly just little slow. Overall. Food was okay. Biscuits had a lard flavoring and gravy missing something (did not even finish on took two bites) asked for extra crispy bacon. Got regular bacon no crispy. Eggs cooked perfect and waffle was good too. ”

“ The food was really good and homemade, loved it. It was a little tight inside with the seating, tried to sit outside but the sun came out, and we went even offered an umbrella, so we moved inside. ”

“ Quirky little joint at Tradewind Airport. Star of the show is its chicken fried steak. A lot of batter but it’s got a good crunch and nice seasoning. The gravy is top notch. The meat is fork-cuttable but could use tenderizing and a bit of salt. Liked the touches of the fresh orange slice, pineapple and strawberry garnishes. Good mashed potatoes and I got the green chile corn instead of the salad. Good call. A bit pricey but the quality and setting balance that out. My wife enjoyed her bacon burger. Chips come with the burger ($3 extra for fries.) ”

“ We had a great breakfast at Shelby’s. We were impressed b our waitress and her on-going checking to be sure we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed watching the planes on this very windy morning. The breakfasts were all expertly prepared and the sausage burrito was the best ever!! The chef knows how to make perfect hash browns. Sone were added to the burrito Ali g with a generous portion of sausage, eggs and cheese. Then the burrito was toasted on the griddle. Yum!!! ”

“ Passing through wanted to check out a local place. Shelby’s came up as good eats place and they weren’t joking it’s at a local small airport. Dining experience was pleasant, service was attentive and everyone was so nice. Food came quick our choices were Boeing burger with french fries plus a Chicken ciabatta with chips, topped off with coconut pie. All good with the exception the fries were soggy not crispy. Loved the history about the man who was a beloved patron of community. ”

“ Their hours are a little funky so they are not great for a spontaneous dining choice, but they had a crowd waiting at the door for when they opened at 5:30 that day. Food was terrific. Neat atmosphere - kinda trendy. They have outdoor seating also that is shaded in the evenings. We didn't order the desserts but they looked amazing. We will go again. ”
